Dear Central Committee Member,
I am so grateful for your service to the Cache County Republican Party and our beloved Cache County! We have entered a very important season. Yep, you guessed it, parade and event season!!! Your talents, abilities, and efforts are needed and crucial to the success of the Cache County GOP and our elected officials.
We have some very important business that we need to take care of and because the delegates to our County Organizing Convention chose to adjourn early we must have a special County Central Committee meeting. Your attendance is requested at a special County Central Committee meeting to be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, in the County Council Chambers inside the Historic Cache County Courthouse at 6 PM.
In accordance with our County Party Bylaws, we are required to meet and elect someone for the position of Logan Seat #1 District Chair. Cory Yeates was appointed by me and approved at our Executive Committee Meeting on April 18, 2019. Here is the bylaw for your reference.
(8D1) In the event of any such vacancy in the office of County Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, or County Council District Chairs, the County Central Committee shall meet within forty-five (45) days after the vacancy occurs, or the next County Convention shall meet, whichever is sooner, upon no less than ten (10) days prior notice, for the purpose of electing a successor. In the interim, the County Chair is authorized to fill any such vacancy on a temporary basis, with the advice and consent of the Executive Committee.
If you would like to file and run for this position you will need to do so filling out the attached filing form no later than Monday, May 20, 2019, at 5 PM.
In order to file for this position, you must meet the minimum requirements outlined in our bylaws. See below.
ARTICLE 7. QUALIFICATIONS FOR PARTY OFFICES AND STATE AND COUNTY DELEGATES
