With the resignation of former Chair Chris Booth to run for office and the confirmation of Shellie Giddings as Chair, the position of Vice Chair is open. If you are interested in running for County Party Vice Chair send notice to: Shellie Giddings cachegopchair@gmail.com

(8D1) In the event of a vacancy in the office of County Chair, the County Vice Chair shall automatically become the County Chair, with the advice and consent of the Executive Committee. The County Central Committee shall meet within forty-five (45) days after the vacancy occurs, or at the next County Convention, whichever is sooner, with at least ten (10) days prior notice, for the purpose of electing a County Vice Chair. [the election will be held at our County Nominating Convention March 26th, 2022]
(4B) VICE Chair. The Vice Chair of the Central Committee shall assist the Chair in the duties of his/her office and exercise the powers of the Chair during his/her absence or disability. The Vice Chair shall also perform such other duties as may be assigned to him/her by the Chair, the Executive Committee or the Central Committee.

Deadline to submit Vice Chair candidacy: 5 PM March 23, 2022

Those eligible to vote in the County Party Vice Chair race during the March 26th County Convention include:

(Article I) ….all Voting Precinct Chairs, Vice Chairs, Treasurers, and Secretaries elected at
the most recent Republican Party Caucuses (mass meetings) held in their respective Precincts, the duly elected or appointed members of the Executive Committee listed in Article 5…the Utah State University College Republicans Chair,…and the elected Republican state and county officials representing or residing in Cache County
