Representative Val Potter to Seek Re-Election to Utah House District 3

North Logan, Utah (February 26, 2020) – On Wednesday, Val Potter, the current representative for Utah House District 3 and executive director of development for Utah State University-Extension announced his intention to seek re-election.

In a release to local news media, Representative Potter shared the following, “I love serving this community. Since I first was elected to the North Logan City Council in 1992, I have fought for conservative principles. Now, more than ever, our state needs to focus on those ideals and the prosperity they have brought to our state. I have been successful in making a real impact here in the legislature with my legislation and the bills I’ve supported, that’s why I’m running for re-election. I promise to support families, cut red tape for business owners, reduce taxes, and keep government minimal and effective.”

Representative Potter’s experience includes service in the following capacities:

  • Mayor of North Logan City
  • Cache County Council member and Chair
  • North Logan City Council Member
  • Republican State Central Committee Member
  • State and County Republican Delegate
  • Bear River Association of Governments

  • Commission on Housing Affordability (Chair)
  • House Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Committee
  • House Political Subdivisions Committee
  • Clean Air Caucus (Vice-Chair)
