Cache County Neighbors and Friends,
We are starting our 4th week of the Legislative Session here at the Capitol. We have finished our appropriation committee meetings and have finalized our budgets. I have worked as House Chair of Business, Economic Development and Labor Appropriation Committee these past three weeks to review the 9 committee presentations and the request’s for appropriation from a variety of state and private organizations.
The final four weeks of the Legislative Session will be focused on hearing bills and legislation coming from the members of the House and Senate in our committees, and then bills that pass will be heard and voted on at the House floor.
I have met with many people from Cache County these past three weeks, including school superintendents, teachers, students, USU and Bridgerland Technical College administrators and students, fire and police chiefs, sheriffs, business leaders, city mayors, arts and cultural organizations and citizens from around our county. I have heard from many others by phone, text and email, and I can assure you that I hear your concerns and needs, and I have and will work to support the people of Cache County here in the State Legislature.
Please follow me and the bills and committees we’re hearing, along with floor discussions at le.utah.gov. Please contact me with any questions or comments you have at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cache County Legislators will continue to have our Saturday morning Town Hall meetings at the Cache County Council Chambers at 199 North Main at 7:30 a.m. February 22nd & 29th, and March 7th. Please join us there or watch on Facebook Live at Cache County Facebook page.
